However, he doesn’t make much money and is one of the poorest individuals of his neighborhood. He is in prison serving a sentence as he failed to repay his debt to the creditors. Nonetheless, he has got a chance to redeem his life and escape the debt prison. 

The path is new for him and he has to discover the healing power of love. Also, see and accept his imperfections. Will he be able to do it? Will he ever escape the mental and real prisons? You gotta dive deep into the book to find that out. This book is a love story but it has much more than that. What do you really know about the history of medical practices? You’ll know a lot of after reading this. Also, you’ll get to know a lot about the life of apothecary that it is much more than medicines.

The backdrop of the book is set in the London of 18th century. We get to know the London of that time. Even the characters have been written beautifully even the spirits are incredible. Further, this book raises a lot of current issues indirectly. It is amazing how it is completely relevant to today’s world. It is a rich, dark, and compelling story of pain, healing and hope. The author did a commendable job with the story. I 1000% recommend this.
