Walks through life by Santhosh Komaraju is a collection of bright, deep and impactful short stories. All of the stories follows a theme that hold lesson on morals, humanity etc.
This book is a collection of 9 non-fiction short stories, these stories are relatable in our lives. It hits hard with the realities.

The hidden kingship and Rise of Motherhood are my favourite stories among them. In "The Hidden Kinship”, the author tells the story of a king who goes to hunt in a forest and is attacked brutally by a tiger. He is rescued by a poor woodcutter, and is selflessly taken care of by his family. After getting cured, the king sees that the woodcutter is not praying to any deity, rather offering his prayers to the axe that he uses to cut wood with. When asked about this, the woodcutter sheds light upon the morals which makes the king realize about the practice of simple living and the act of gratefulness.

In “Rise of Motherhood” a young boy who one day accompanies his widower father to a brothel. There he meets the woman whom his father spends nights with, and attaches his affection to her. This unforeseen care and love evokes motherly feelings in the heart of the woman, and she learns to see the boy as her own son. Thus, the broken family of the father and son duo gets illuminated with the arrival of a woman, who rises to motherhood.
This book is creatively written using descriptive words and vivid narration. The language is easy to understandable. All the characters are lovely and well portrayed. Stories are well crafted. Highly recommended to those who love some well written morally inclined short stories.

1. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us something about your book "And Then I Laughed" Answer:  My name is Melissa and I am a single widow of four young children who are my reason for everything I do. I love being creative and have loved to write since a young age. Introducing myself feels strange right now. I am still in the process of rediscovering who I am in the midst of being a widow and a mother, a journey I think all mothers face. I am much more interested in the company I keep than where I want to be. It doesn't matter where I go, as long as I am around people I love. I spent many years traveling, being very mobile and sometimes homeless so I enjoy my little house and the stability and coziness it gives my family. Maybe one day I will be open to exploring again, but for now I am enjoying the calm of four walls.  2. When did you get the thoughts of writing this book?  Answer:  This book, And Then I Laughed, is the cul...
