You are still the one by Himanshu Rai

BOOK: You are still the one
AUTHOR: Himanshu Rai

*My Ratings* : 4.6/5 ⭐

You are Still the One is a Romantic genre book by Himanshu Rai. This book tells us a story so beautiful that you will be lost in this world of love and friendship.

The story revolves around Trisha, a 19 year old girl who is recently diagnosed with third stage cancer. When she moves to Delhi for treatment she meets Aditya there, a 22 year old guy who is a soldier in the Indian Army. Both of them are lovely people and both of them have one more thing in common they don't know how much time they have left to live. They fall in love and Aditya does everything possible to cheer her up.

But one day Aditya has to go back on his duty, and after somedays there is news in the newspaper that breaks Trisha. There was an accident in Siachen and after that there was no contact with Aditya. Where is he? Will they be able to meet again or is this one of those stories where happy endings are not written in the lover's destiny?

Personally I am a big fan of Himanshu Rai's work, he writes great stories with great ease and creates characters that become part of your life. This book is nothing different every character is great even the supporting characters of Meetu and Varun are written in such a manner that they also seem to be the lead characters and as for the story, this story will make you smile laugh and cry.

This book will be a great read for all Romantic genre lovers and they should definitely try this.

TEN Questions with Melissa Reeves

1. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us something about your book "And Then I Laughed" Answer:  My name is Melissa and I am a single widow of four young children who are my reason for everything I do. I love being creative and have loved to write since a young age. Introducing myself feels strange right now. I am still in the process of rediscovering who I am in the midst of being a widow and a mother, a journey I think all mothers face. I am much more interested in the company I keep than where I want to be. It doesn't matter where I go, as long as I am around people I love. I spent many years traveling, being very mobile and sometimes homeless so I enjoy my little house and the stability and coziness it gives my family. Maybe one day I will be open to exploring again, but for now I am enjoying the calm of four walls.  2. When did you get the thoughts of writing this book?  Answer:  This book, And Then I Laughed, is the cul...

Faith, Strength, and Courage by Gregory O. Proctor

"Faith, Strength, and Courage: A Memoir of Overcoming Adversity & Embracing Life's Journey" by Gregory O. Proctor is a powerful narrative of resilience and personal growth. The memoir, introduced by Shonda Allen Hill, Ph.D., sets an emotional tone with a foreword that highlights Proctor's multifaceted nature—vulnerable yet powerful, empathetic yet demanding. Proctor's story is profoundly honest and evocative, with one of the most moving sections detailing the death of his father. This deeply personal recounting serves as a catalyst for Proctor’s self-reflection and transformation, showcasing his journey through grief and resilience. The memoir also candidly addresses the challenges of professional life as a Black American in a predominantly white corporate world, filled with systemic barriers and prejudice. Proctor’s determination and resolve are evident as he navigates these obstacles. His narrative takes a poignant turn with the diagnosis of mult...
