Shivi & Satty by Anupama Gupta

BOOK - Shivi & Satty: And The Warriors of Death
AUTHOR: Anupama Gupta

*My Ratings* : 4.7/5 ⭐

Shivi & Satty : And The Warriors of Death by Anupama Gupta is one of those books where I really had to think about what I have to mention in the review from the story as I don't want to give spoilers. The book is of fantasy genre mixed with mythological retelling and a lot of twists and turns.

The story revolves around Satty( Satya) and his love of life Shivi. Satty is a college student who blames himself for his mother's death and just want to know whether he is the reason or is there some other reasons? Then in his life enters Niru a character that helps him find the answer to his question and this is the point where the major twists start coming into the story.

Further in the story we get to know about Yamas, scions and how Satty is one of them and now he has a big work at his hand but before that he with Shivi and his friend Vipin is invited to an ashram and all Satty knew was that his answers lie there in the ashram and he has to find them. But what is his big purpose of life? Why he is a savior and whom he have to save and most important from who?

The story is intriguing and will keep you at the edge all the time right from the beginning.  The language is simple and narration is excellent it keeps you hooked to the story. The characters are well written and the background setup is awesome.

This book is a must read and I'm sure everyone will love it as it has romance, suspense, thrill not to mention the most loved genre fantasy.  This book is a complete package, a package which when opened gives excitement and thrill.

TEN Questions with Melissa Reeves

1. Can you please introduce yourself and tell us something about your book "And Then I Laughed" Answer:  My name is Melissa and I am a single widow of four young children who are my reason for everything I do. I love being creative and have loved to write since a young age. Introducing myself feels strange right now. I am still in the process of rediscovering who I am in the midst of being a widow and a mother, a journey I think all mothers face. I am much more interested in the company I keep than where I want to be. It doesn't matter where I go, as long as I am around people I love. I spent many years traveling, being very mobile and sometimes homeless so I enjoy my little house and the stability and coziness it gives my family. Maybe one day I will be open to exploring again, but for now I am enjoying the calm of four walls.  2. When did you get the thoughts of writing this book?  Answer:  This book, And Then I Laughed, is the cul...

"Faith, Strength, and Courage: A Memoir of Overcoming Adversity & Embracing Life's Journey" by Gregory O. Proctor is a powerful narrative of resilience and personal growth. The memoir, introduced by Shonda Allen Hill, Ph.D., sets an emotional tone with a foreword that highlights Proctor's multifaceted nature—vulnerable yet powerful, empathetic yet demanding. Proctor's story is profoundly honest and evocative, with one of the most moving sections detailing the death of his father. This deeply personal recounting serves as a catalyst for Proctor’s self-reflection and transformation, showcasing his journey through grief and resilience. The memoir also candidly addresses the challenges of professional life as a Black American in a predominantly white corporate world, filled with systemic barriers and prejudice.
