Continuation from the last book" A Queen To Come " this time we find out that the trap that was set for the Asters was big mistake as it caused them to lose their Wueen Gayle Mendosa. She was their hope for salvation but now there was no more Gayle Mendosa no more hope. It affected the Asters heavily but most of all it affected Sophie more. They were starting to feel hopeless and demotivated.
There was nothing to do but to accept the reality and deal with the aftermath. The Asters wanted to take action and so something to help with that feeling but they were only sent out to clean the area where the unfortunate events occurred.
After sometime they were able to cope with the truth. Sophie has found her happiness by being with Jacob. The Asters had resumed with their training again. But sometimes were suspicious was going on. Nobody had a clue. Things just seemed off and The Asters could feel it but couldn't put a finger on it . By that time they were at a standstill situation. Ceders ( past Asters) were doing most of the important work. It was frustrating Sky more as holding still was not in him. Everybody around was annoyed by him as well. With many affinites and friends going missin in Brazil the council head decided to assign Sky with a small job of reaching out to an important affinite when they call him. He is able to save him but the affinite has a big change . After all these peculiar incidents it seems Asters are the only hope left to fight the Kings. What will be their decision. This is the prequel to A Queen To Come and just like tge previous very interesting. The book's plot was amazing and did not change at any point. Really satisfied with this one as well. If you have read A Queen To Come the prequel is out now.
